Brioche Stitch Hat Experiment

Recently, I've begun experimenting with brioche knit stitches. I've even mixed regular knit stitches with brioche. This has given me an idea for a new hat design.

A simple 2x2 ribbed band and brioche body that increases then decreases.

In this instance, I have used size 3 and 5 knitting needles and weight 3 (double knit) yarn - Lion Brand Mandala Unicorn Cloud.

The hat came out a bit smaller than expected, but I love the way it looks and it's a great fit on small and medium adult head sizes. In the future, I will probably create an extended pattern with multiple sizes represented and more images to demonstrate how the hat is created.

Now that the hat is complete, the basic pattern I created will be published this Friday.
