I completed the Melody Mosaic Knit Beret on Monday afternoon but didn't have time to write about it until now. But I hope to compensate for the delay by sharing many pics with you, including some of the previous Melody Berets.

This pink and caramel iteration of the Melody Mosaic Knit Beret is made of 50/50 cotton and acrylic DK blend yarns - Ice Yarns Adel. It has created a drapier fabric than I was expecting, this time around; however, it still retains much of the Melody shape and style that I've grown to love.

You can see the difference best by examining the bottom of each Melody Beret. The 100% acrylic versions have a stiffer brim, but the acrylic hats are all just as soft and warmer.

Melody Mosaic Knit Beret - 4th

Perhaps, had I used a thicker cotton blend yarn or chosen smaller needles, the fabric would have been just as firm as the 100% acrylic versions, but that would have changed the size and fit as well. This is something to keep in mind, should you decide to create a Melody Mosaic Knit Beret of your own.

As I mentioned in a previous post, the 4th iteration of the Melody Mosaic Knit Beret was created to proof the pattern I created when I made the 2nd and 3rd versions. The complete pattern should be available to all logged in subscribers by tomorrow evening. I will add the link here when it's ready.

If you decide to create your own Melody Mosaic Knit Beret, regardless of what fibers and colors you prefer, I suggest you stick with the recommended needle sizes unless you need a much larger hat size.

So, what do you think of the design? Let me know.
