Stitches in Time: A Knitter's Journey

Animation of my hands knitting brioche scarf
Me doing what I love.

In childhood's quiet, with pencils sharp,
A craft was born, a passion sparked,
At tender age of merely eight,
My hands found solace in knitting's gate.

Gifted by parents, needles bright,
Size seven aluminum, gleaming in light,
With each stitch cast, a tale unfurled,
In the realm of yarn, I found my world.

Through years and trials, needles remained,
In every loop and twist, love sustained,
But in the weave of life's intricate thread,
Crochet emerged, a new path to tread.

Late thirties found me with hook in hand,
A newfound passion, a different strand,
Yet knitting's call was ever strong,
In its embrace, I truly belong.

Now back on streaks of purls and knits,
In yarn's embrace, my heart uplifts,
For in this craft, I find my peace,
A timeless love that will never cease.
